If you love Federal-period architecture, decorative arts, and learning about the history of Georgetown, take a tour of City Tavern (3206 M St NW) this Friday, Feb. 25 from 12 pm – 1 pm. Docents from the City Tavern Preservation Foundation will lead you through all four floors of the historic building, built in 1796 as a site of community meetings, business functions, and transportation. Highlights include a hand-written invitation by first lady Abigail Adams, a map of DC from 1792, and much more.
