Georgetown Double Shooting Suspect Arrested In West Virginia: Police
A man accused of gunning down a 19-year-old Maryland man in Georgetown July 8 has been arrested in Morgantown, West Virginia, police said.

GEORGETOWN, DC — A man accused of gunning down a 19-year-old Maryland man in Georgetown July 8 has been arrested in Morgantown, West Virginia, police said.
Police arrested Demarius Anton Jackson, 24, Tuesday for the death of Kennedy Javier Amaya-Olivares, 19, of Severn.
Amaya-Olivares was pronounced dead at the scene in a double shooting in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, D.C. The Metropolitan Police Department says the shooting occurred in the 3500 block of Water Street, Northwest, near the Key Bridge at about 2:51 a.m.

NBC Washington reports the U.S. Marshals Service received a tip that Jackson was hiding out in Morgantown. He was arrested without incident, police said.
