Georgetown Hospital Benefit Thursday Features William Wegman Photos
You'll recognize Wegman's photos: Weimeraners!

Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center hosts famed photographer William Wegman this week for the opening of his solo exhibition “William Wegman: Out of the Box.” The works feature 22 framed photographs featuring his most recognizable subject matter: Weimaraner dogs.

Wegman’s exhibition will feature 27 photographs and he will present five photographs as a gift to Georgetown Lombardi.
Wegman’s visit is sponsored by Georgetown Lombardi’s Arts & Humanities Program, which promotes an optimum life experience for patients, family members, and caregivers with activities, resources, education, and environments that encourage a creative and constructive response to illness.

Donated photographs are dedicated to breast cancer survivor Emily Helck, who works with Wegman. Several of Wegman’s books will be for sale at the event (to be signed by the artist) with proceeds benefiting the Georgetown Lombardi Arts and Humanities Program. All photographs in the exhibition (except the five donated to Georgetown) are available for purchase with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Arts and Humanities Program.
