Georgetown Ranked Among Top 10 Towns With Holiday Cheer

A new report shows that one of the biggest Christmas celebrations across the county is in D.C.

With bright holiday lights and the National Zoo’s light exhibit, it’s no surprise that Georgetown was recognized for holiday spirit.

Fodor’s, a travel company that publishes guidebooks and rates destination hotels and restaurants, found the Top 10 U.S. Towns With Huge Christmas Celebrations.

D.C.’s oldest neighborhood ranked among the locations across the nation with special note of the annual holiday window decorating contest that takes place between different businesses and shops. On top of that, the Ritz-Carlton located in the historic Georgetown offers complimentary hot apple cider every day from 3 to 7 p.m.
