German Artist's Works On Display At Jewelers Werk Gallerie

GEORGETOWN, D.C. — German artist jeweler Iris Bodemer has a new exhibit, Topography + Construction, on display at Jewelers Werk Gallerie, 3319 Cady's Alley. The exhibit will be open for viewing through Sept. 1. It features pieces from the two series and includes elements such as brooches and neckpieces, some with detachable constructed chains.

According to Art Jewelry Forum, Bodemer was 11 when she began binding simple ornaments with silver wire. Bodemer utilizes thermoplastics and metal in her works, which flow naturally from her previous pieces. The show will be on display during the gallery’s regular business hours, Monday through Saturday 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
