Where/When: Theatre On the Run, 3700 S. Four Mile Run Dr., Arlington. The improv workshop starts at 4:30 p.m. and the improv workshop starts at 7:30 p.m.
Why Go: Break out of your shell and exercise your funny bone this weekend at Improv Fest 2012. You can go all out and participate in the afternoon workshop, or just attend the free performance.
Pricing: Registration for the workshop is $60. The performance is free to attend. Donations will be collected.

Why Go: According to the event listing, "Make plans to attend the Mid-Atlantic Charity Hockey Game this Saturday, February 4th as the Arlington County Fire Department will take on the Fairfax County Fire Rescue Department to benefit NOVA Cool Cats Special Hockey...There will also be a Silent Auction, Door Prizes and Raffles with all proceeds going to NOVA Cool Cats, a Special Hockey program for the enrichment of athletes ages 7-18 with developmental disabilities."
Pricing: Tickets to the games are $5. Children 12 and under can attend the game for free.

Where/When: Annapolis Maritime Museum, 723 Second St., Annapolis, Md. Friday, 5:30 p.m.
Why Go: This exhibit features forty-two prints from Georgetowner Stephen R. Brown's book, Tidewater: The Chesapeake Bay in Photographs. The photographs will be on display in the museum from Jan. 26 through the end of March.
Pricing: Free to attend.

Where/When: , 1101 Wilson Blvd., Arlington. Saturday, 7:30 p.m.
Why Go: According to the event listing, "The National Chamber Ensemble transforms the stage of the Spectrum Theatre into a turn of the 20th century palace setting in St. Petersburg, Russia. The concert will feature virtuoso performances and chamber music masterpieces. A highlight of the evening will be members of Ballet Nova performing a solo from Tchaikovsky’s “Swan Lake” with the ensemble. The concert will conclude with the extraordinary " Dumky " Piano Trio by Dvorak. The program will also feature works by Handel/Halvorsen, Wieniawski and Glinka."
Pricing: General admission tickets are $28. Students can buy a discounted ticket for $15.
