
As Christmas approaches, schools go on break and the office winds down, it's time to start thinking about what to do during the holiday days ahead.
Here are a few activities to consider:
Send your kids to camp.
Jelleff Winter Wondercamp will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. during two sessions Dec. 23 to Dec. 27 and Dec. 30 to Jan. 3, at Jelleff Recreation Center, 3265 S Street NW, where children, 6-12, can do arts and crafts, play sports and games and go on a field trip to the movies or U.S. Botanic Gardens. Drop In To A Holiday Open House.
Dumbarton United Methodist Church, 3133 Dumbarton St., N.W. will open for caroling and holiday decoration making for all ages on Sunday, Dec. 22 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, call (202) 333-7212 or visit dumbartonumc.org.
Have a sweet Christmas Eve at the Mansion on O Street, 2020 O Street N.W., where there will be a holiday buffet of sugar and shopping available from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Dec. 24. Admission is $30 and reservations can be made here.
