Here Come Holidays

A Look At Georgetown Activities In The Coming Weeks

As Christmas approaches, schools go on break and the office winds down, it's time to start thinking about what to do during the holiday days ahead. 

Here are a few activities to consider:

Send your kids to camp.

Jelleff Winter Wondercamp will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. during two sessions Dec. 23 to Dec. 27 and  Dec. 30 to Jan. 3, at Jelleff Recreation Center,  3265 S Street NW, where children, 6-12, can do arts and crafts, play sports and games and go on a field trip to the movies or U.S. Botanic Gardens. Drop In To A Holiday Open House. 

Dumbarton United Methodist Church, 3133 Dumbarton St., N.W. will open for caroling and holiday decoration making for all ages on Sunday, Dec. 22 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, call (202) 333-7212 or visit dumbartonumc.org. 

Have a sweet Christmas Eve at the Mansion on O Street, 2020 O Street N.W., where there will be a holiday buffet of sugar and shopping available from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Dec. 24. Admission is $30 and reservations can be made here
