Instant Smile: Panda Cub's First Snow Day at National Zoo

Bao Bao rolled around in the white blanket during the first accumulating snowfall in D.C. Jan. 6.

Warning: The video provided by the Smithsonian National Zoo has a strong chance of causing uncontrollable smiling.

The winter weather that has been sweeping much of the northeast coated the National Zoo with its first blanket of snow — and gave way to arguably the most adorable video posted on Tuesday.

Bao Bao, the zoo’s youngest giant panda cub, played around during the snowfall for the very first time. The 16-month-old cub can be seen tumbling down a hill and jumping on her mother Mei Xiang.

The National Zoo is home to three giants pandas that weigh around 250 pounds each. A live streaming panda cam invites viewers to follow the black and white bears on their daily routines.
