Islamic Relief USA to Help the Needy with D.C. Day of Dignity Event

Basic necessities are provided to those in need at the all day event.

In celebration of D.C.’s Islamic Heritage Month, volunteerism and entertainment will combine in the Day of Dignity event.

Islamic Relief USA partners with volunteers and organizations to provide food, clothing, social services, and health screenings to the needy 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday . Free HIV screenings and information will be available at the American Islamic Heritage Museum, 2315 Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue NE as well.

Along with distributing blankets and medical care, Day of Dignity will feature live music and entertainment for a family-friendly event.
