Live Music, Cheap Books and Freedom From Kids This Weekend

Score a couple new additions to your home library for only a few dollars at the Friends of the Georgetown Library Book Sale. And for you collectors, the Friends are also planning to sell music and rare books. 
What: Used Library Book Sale
When: From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov.16

Ditch the kids and go party, really. Adventure Theater MTC is asking to take them off your hands for the night while you go do something grownup. For $30 your child can eat pizza, play games and watch a movie. It's a bit of a drive, about 30 minutes, but is it worth the freedom?
What: Date Night, Grades K-5
When: From 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday, Nov.16

Cost: $30 per enrollment, $12 for additional siblings

Experience a local alternative country band said to have a "unique blend of country, blues, pop and roots rock," resembling Wilco, Ryan Adams and Bruce Springsteen.

Cost: $10 at the door

See the unfinished works, inspirational spaces and master pieces of more than 30 local artists when you browse their studios at the Jackson Art Center. Also enjoy live music and complimentary refreshments.
