McFadden's Restaurant Permanently Closes After Stabbing Incident

Five people were stabbed at the northwest D.C. establishment Dec. 27.

Located three blocks from Georgetown, the future of McFadden’s Restaurant and Saloon is in major jeopardy after multiple people were stabbed.

The five victims were celebrating a birthday at the establishment, 2401 Pennsylvania Avenue, when a man wearing a plaid shirt and trench coat stabbed them around 12:37 a.m. Dec. 27.

The 5’7” to 5’8” black suspect ran from the scene and the victims survived the attack.

ANC 2A Chairman Patrick Kennedy tweeted that Steve O’Brien, the restaurant’s attorney, confirmed to him that McFadden’s will not reopen and physical assets will be sold.

A summary suspension hearing was requested for the restaurant and will take place with the D.C. Alcoholic Beverage Regulation Administration in the board room at 11 a.m. Jan. 9.
