Mega Millions Soars To $586 M: Winning Numbers, Where To Play

The Mega Millions jackpot for the next drawing was at $586 million, with a $316 million cash estimate, Tuesday morning.

And the odds were set at one in more than 258 million.

It is second-largest Mega Millions jackpot in history and the fourth largest jackpot of all U.S. lotteries, a Mega Millions statement said. 

The largest jackpot was $656 million in March 2012, and was shared by winners from Maryland, Illinois and Kansas.

Tuesday's jackpot hit its record spot as the second-largest in Mega Millions history last week when the jackpot made it past $400 million.

A Friday night drawing didn't yield a single-ticket winner, but 9 people won $1 million for a match of their first five numbers, the statement said. 

The current odds for winning $1 million are at one in more than 18 million. 

Tuesday's drawing will be at 11 p.m. Winning numbers will be on the Mega Millions website, or you can check your numbers on the D.C. Lottery website. 

Tickets can be purchased until 10:45 p.m.
