Micro-Residences a Possibility for Latham Hotel Property

Tiny apartments, retail could be in the property's future.

Georgetown’s Latham Hotel, which closed last summer, may turn into small residential apartments.

Very small residential apartments—most could be between 250 and 400 square feet, according to Washington Business Journals.

The property would also include retail space. The 10-story building at 3000 M St. NW may be purchased by SB-Urban, a new venture, from Lone Star Funds, which owns the property now.

The Latham Hotel and Cintronelle both closed in July 2012 after water pipes burst, causing significant damage.
