Opinion: 2024 Presidential Election Result Will End 2020 Debates

The 2024 presidential election will not be a do-over of the 2020 election but more of a deciding factor of who over four years time the American voters believe should have won the 2020 election. Anyone who has studied American History in college or beyond knows years from now the 2024 result will play a huge role on the historical perspective of the results in 2016 and 2020.

The 2024 Presidential Election will be the final word on who in the end the American people chose to be the better president for the nation between two very different Presidents.

Emotions will be running high come Election time in November. With the new dimension of early voting and other voting methods now in place since 2016 there may be no instant results on election night 2024.

There is little doubt that the professional and volunteer Democratic Party operatives are more effective at navigating the new voting procedures to get their voters to vote. The DNC folks seem to have more “zeal,” to go door to door, block to block and get out the votes one way or another. In the end the victor in 2024 will be the candidate with the better hard working organization.

The ramifications of the coming 2024 Presidential election results promises to be epic. There most likely will not be a national come together feeling no matter who wins. Sadly that prediction is not a radical prediction but a logical one.

That is what happens in a representative democracy. Interests both economical and philosophical pick sides and back imperfect candidates to get something closest to what’s best for their interests. Political scientists Seymour Martin Lipset and Clinton Rossiter never envisioned so many “cross- cutting cleavages” and persuading emotional arguments. Jeffersonian Historian Dumas Malone stated Jefferson believed the American Revolution was an alive never ending event. Yet Malone also described how Jefferson while minister to France witnessed the reign of terror that can happen when things get out of hand as he watched even the freedom fighter Marquis de Lafayette get arrested in France.

One might guess that media companies and parent corporations profit from political discord. Ratings drive profits and turmoil strokes ratings. If all politics are mostly local it must also be said that the “huge money” is collected/printed and spent in Washington.

In the end a huge battle of political organizations will commence in the form of the Presidential Election of 2024. There are zealots who will never surrender there beliefs no matter who wins. They will not respect any result that they feel is not in their best interests.

No matter who wins there will be sore losers vowing to battle on every way they can to degrade their political opponents Election victory.

One must have faith that somehow in the end the folks too busy working will continue to go at it do there jobs and find personal achievements and joys day to day. On Election Day “Democracy” will not be at risk but actually flexing.
