Opinion : Should President Biden be Primaried or Re-Selected?

When will the DNC start signaling whether President Biden should or should not be challenged in the primaries to be the Democratic Party Nominee for President in 2024?

Will the DNC go with the strategy to elect somebody who can win or let’s line up behind the President and re-elect him? With all the talk and print about whether Trump is running again what about President Biden? Will he and the people who successfully defeated Donald Trump just pull out of consideration for 2024 or mount a campaign to stay in power?

These are all good legitimate questions.

First of all to all Democrats and folks who were not favorable to Mr. Trump have to believe President Biden and his strategist deserve individual Kennedy School awards for defeating Trump. Up to date that is still Biden’s defining achievement. One history will note.

However, now that Trump has been defeated who’s next to takeover? Or do the Democrats “stay the course?”

Recent Presidential elections history had shown how dangerous it is when an incumbent President is challenged by his Party. Ask President Carter, President Ford, and President Lyndon Johnson about their second elected terms? Oh they never had one!

Is there a front runner running yet to oppose President Biden in 2024?

It is up to the DNC to act soon, to send out a signal to have viable winning candidates ready and able to run as “Not-Biden” in the primaries and see if Joe Biden is now who the people of the Democratic Party wants to be President in 2024.

I don’t see President Biden and his strategists not seeking re-election. What do you think? Will they give up power or will it be as Machiavelli wrote in “The Prince,” Political power must be seized!”
