Opinion: Solution to the Government Shutdown - One Hand of Poker
Perhaps a one hand draw poker game on live prime time television in Weehawken, N.J. the site of the famous Hamilton-Burr duel !

In the age of reality TV perhaps we should combine some of todays technology with some early 1800's justice by having an actual Pelosi-Trump one hand hand poker duel on the cliffs of the Palisades of the Hudson River in Weehawken, New Jersey at the very site Alexander Hamilton and Aaron Burr faced off. With an internet free live stream with twitter comments in actual time. This is for those who think there isn't a more realistic and final way to resolve this issue. Maybe there just isn't another quick easy solution.
Think of the possibilities with ESPN pre-coverage talking about wind conditions, and percentages of success in the past. The very personal contest between the speaker and the President would come to a conclusion only because of the luck of the cards .The American Government would be the winner. My guess Mitch McConnell and Chuck Schumer can be the seconds and Chief Justice Roberts can be the referee.
For some reason I would guess more Republicans think this is a good idea than "never a wall Democrats." The truth be told I don't know how Speaker Nancy Pelosi and the newly elected Democratic Congress have let this wall issue cloud out their monumental election victory. The polls say they are right but all the polls also said "President Hillary Clinton."

It's time for this standoff to end before something terrible happens like an airplane crash or a health crisis around the garbage in the National Parks.
Hopefully there can be a more civilized solution instead instead of a poker duel or of waiting until the 2020 election. The country is split but I think of the ratings of a Trump-Pelosi poker hand duel would be better than any Super Bowl.
