Opinion: Who’s In or Out in a President Kamala Harris Presidency?

Hopefully President Biden lives a very long life after his presidency. That being said there is the reality that Vice-President Kamala Harris could also become President before the next election should the President pass on. That is why there is a Vice-President, just in case a President passes on or becomes medically incapacitated.

Obviously there are operatives and staff people of President Biden that Vice-President Harris admires, and others no so much. I am sure everyone involved being politically astute must know who most likely will stay and who will be most likely will be replaced should a change at the top happen.

It is not too way out to forecast that more than any other V.P. since Harry Truman, the percentages that VP Harris might become the next President are the greatest. Since Truman, no “elected VP” has become President by non-assassination. Hopefully that fact stays the same. Amazingly President Ford still is the only President who was never elected President and joining Nelson Rockefeller as the only Vice-Presidents never elected by the people but approved by the Congress. I suppose that process in this political climate would be quite theatrical.

Yet, there must be some very influential decision makers in the Biden Administration who know if Kamala Harris becomes President, they are out. Then again in the world of politics the end of your political power is a certain, just the timing is unknown. It would be fascinating to be in the know of who would stay and who would be escorted off the White House grounds?

I would guess the very brilliant folks running the DNC have taken the steps to have a smooth transfer and transition of power in place within the party to avoid inner party chaos and polarization. I hope recently VP Harris has been more actively thoroughly briefed on all the situations that are very fluid at the moment. Unfortunately Harry Truman wasn’t and in the end that may have cost the country something. I know he was not happy he knew nothing about the Atomic bomb program.

I am just wondering out loud who will become the most influential and powerful adviser to a President Kamala Harris? Perhaps there are detailed plans in a dossier in a safe in her office. I certainly hope so. The country would be better off with a well thought-out plan versus a on the fly decision making crisis mode administration.

This is just food for thought as we move into the heart of the primaries to pick presidential candidates.
