Report: Donald Rumseld DC Home Sells for How Much?

Former Defense Secretary's Kalorama home went on the market last summer; did he get full price?

Former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld recently sold his Kalorama home for $3.9 million, according to Washingtonian magazine.

The house was originally put up for sale last summer for $4.5 million, according to The Washington Post. The home is spacious and luxurious — featuring seven bedrooms, 6.5 baths and a pool.

So where does Rumsfeld, 82, hang his hat these days? Word is he enjoys at least part of his time in St. Michaels, Md., on the Eastern Shore, where he’s had a home for the past 10 years, near other DC heavyweights former VP Dick Cheney and TV’s Greta Van Susteren.

Rumsfeld’s home in St. Michaels is reportedly an 1804 house dubbed “Mount Misery” according to The New York Times.
