Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for New D.C. Bikeshare Station

Ward 3 will welcome the new bikeshare station Friday.

A ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the new Capital Bikeshare Station will take place Friday morning.

Councilmember Mary Cheh and Mayor Vincent Gray will attend the McKinley Street and Connecticut Avenue NW bikeshare opening at 11 a.m.

Capital Bikeshare is available throughout D.C., Arlington and Alexandria, Va., and Montgomery County, Md. There are 2,500 bicycles available to be checked out and can be returned to any station. Members get the first 30 minutes of every session free and every additional half an hour increments will charge a fee.
