Smithsonian's National Zoo Closed Due to Gas Leak
The National Zoo should reopen to foot traffic at noon.

Smithsonian’s National Zoo was temporarily closed from a gas leak in an administrative building Friday morning.
The National Zoo was expected to reopen at noon Friday for pedestrian traffic.
“The gas line has been secured and the leak that affected an administrative building is stopped. No animals have been affected,” according to a statement on the Smithsonian’s National Zoo’s Facebook.

As a precaution, vehicles will be permitted to enter from only the Rock Creek and Harvard Street entrances beginning at noon.
