St. Elmo's Fire Screening at Georgetown Bar That Inspired the Film

The Tombs bar features the film on Monday.

PLAYBACKTHETAPE will host this month’s VHS screening of St. Elmo’s Fire at The Tombs bar at 8 p.m. Monday.

The Georgetown bar inspired the setting for the 1985 movie.

St. Elmo’s Fire will be shown with a personal introduction by the screenwriter, Carl Kurlander. The edited-for-TV screening includes the original commercials and news breaks.

Admission is free and open to all ages. Attendees can order food and beverages.
