  • Johnny Rockets in Georgetown features hand-dipped premium ice cream milkshakes, available in a variety of flavors including Hershey's Chocolated, as well as old-fashioned malts, blended with real powdered malt.
  • Good Stuff Eatery on Capitol Hill is a great stop if you're in that next of the woods. The toasted marshmallow milkshake has been hailed by critics as the best in the region.
  •  in Clarendon offers 10 milkshake flavors including the "Tropical Hawaiian Shake" with vanilla ice cream, coconut, bananas and pineapple. At $4.99, it's a lot less pricey than a mid-winter tropical beach week. Other local locations include Mclean, Falls Church and Fair Oaks.
  • in Arlington blends premium ice creams with "mix-in's" to create unique, one-of-a-kind milkshake concoctions like "Cherry Cheesecake," which includes milk, cheesecake-flavored ice cream and cherry pie filling.
