Three Armed Robberies in Northwest D.C. and Georgetown Area

The robberies contain similar details which cause police to investigate a connection.

A string of robberies in the Northwest D.C. area have occurred within the past 10 days.

The police report that in all three cases two men came up to the victims from behind and showed a gun, according to The Washington Post.

The first robbery took place at 12:02 a.m. Oct. 31 in the 3700 block of Macomb Street NW, the WP reports. The next two robberies occurred on Sunday. The first was in 1:40 a.m. in Georgetown on P Street NW. The next was 45 minutes later in the 3000 block of Idaho Avenue NW in Cleveland Park-Cathedral Heights area.

While no one was hurt during the robberies, personal items along with money and electronics were taken.

The two suspects were described as black men between the ages of 20 and 25, according to NBC Washington. While both men had medium complexion and were clean-shaven, one is 6’ and the other is 5’10”.

Police are investigating the similar incidents and speculate a possible connection between them.
