2 Sexual Assaults in Georgetown Area Within 3 Hours

Police continue to investigate if the attacks were related.

Two females were attacked in the Georgetown area early Sunday morning just a little over two hours of each other.

Around 6 a.m., a woman was sexually assaulted in the 3300 block of Prospect Place NW. The attacker was described as a Hispanic male in his twenties, about 5’7”, wearing a leather jacket and clean shaven.

Less than three hours earlier, a woman was sexually assaulted near Dupont Circle by a suspect described as a black male with dreadlocks wearing khaki pants. The attack occurred around 3:45 a.m. Sunday inside of a vehicle described as a silver sedan. Three more black males were in the vehicle during the assault.

The police are offering a reward in both cases of up to $1,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to a conviction.
