Uber Delivers Puppy Playtime to Your Doorstep

The Washington Animal Rescue League has teamed with Uber to bring puppies to DC-area residents.

Lunch break on Wednesday in the Washington, D.C., area could mean 15 minutes of puppy playtime.

The Washington Animal Rescue League teamed with Uber and Animal Planet to deliver puppies to your doorstep on Wednesday in honor of Animal Planet’s Puppy Bowl XI, according to The Washington Post.

For $30, Uber will deliver a puppy to your doorstep for 15 minutes of tender love and care, WTOP reports. And while $30 might seem a bit pricy for 15 minutes of playtime, rest assured that all of the money will be donated to the Washington Animal Rescue League, a non-profit animal shelter located in Northwest D.C.

The best part? If you fall in love with one (or more) of the puppies, all of them are available for adoption through the Washington Area Rescue League.

The event is from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., so there’s still time to order some quality puppy playtime. To order a puppy, select the “PUPPIES” option on the Uber app and enter the “DCpuppies” promo code.

Uber will deliver puppies to office buildings provided that there is an enclosed space for the dogs and the building allows the puppies inside, the Washington Post reports. The promotion code also works for people in Maryland and Virginia.

Washington, D.C., is one of 10 cities to participate in Puppies on Demand on Wednesday.
