Uncover D.C.'s Haunted Past on Two Ghost Tours

Discover what paranormal activity is lurking behind D.C.'s historic sites.

Crimes, ghosts, and assassinations are explored on two D.C. haunted tours.

Known as the most haunted site in D.C., Lafayette Square Park will host a ghost tour uncovering the dark past in the nation’s capital. The park is referred to “Tragedy Square” because of the conspiracies and duels that took place. Discover the haunted historic past on the tour available every night at 8 p.m. through Nov. 16.

The Lafayette Square Park tour will begin in front of the Dolley Madison House, 1520 H Street NW. It is about one-fourth of a mile long and lasts for approximately 90 minutes.

Not only is Capitol Hill one of the most iconic locations in the U.S., but it’s also one of the most haunted places in D.C.! The ghost tour includes stories of the haunted souls from the Lincoln Conspiracy trials and the ghosts of past lawmakers. The haunted history of the Supreme Court Building, the Library of Congress, and the U.S. Capitol is uncovered every night at 9 p.m. through Nov. 17.

The Capitol Hill tour will begin in front of Good Stuff Eatery, 303 Pennsylvania Avenue SE. It is less than one mile long and lasts for approximately 90 minutes.

Tickets for both tours are available online. Adults ages 12+ are $17, children ages seven to 11 are $10, and children ages six and under are free.
