The Avery Bed and Breakfast Planned for Georgetown

A 15-room modern inn may be coming to Georgetown within the next year.

The Avery Georgetown LLC proposed the new establishment to open in two existing office buildings, 2616 and 2620 P Street NW, according to the Washington Business Journal.

The idea behind The Avery is to upgrade the typical bed and breakfast by offering extras like a daily champagne reception or honor bar. Samantha Schneck, a principal in the company, named the inn after her daughter.

If the Advisory Neighborhood Commission for Georgetown approves the plans, the two buildings that previously hosted law offices will be gutted and the interior will be remodeled, the WBJ reports.

The proposal for The Avery will be reviewed by the commission Jan. 5 and Schneck hopes to open the doors by September 2015.
