Walk to Remember JFK, Catch Acclaimed Musicians in Local Concerts, Shop For Charity

Friday marks the 50th anniversary of John F. Kennedy's assassination. Join the FreeWalkers for a 22-mile walk, from the Theodore Roosevelt memorial to JFK's grave at Arlington Cemetery, in remembrance of the president and other lives given to national service.

Where: Meet at Theodore Roosevelt Island before 6 a.m. for registration, and walk to Arlington Cemetery for a 2 p.m. ceremony.

Sway and bop to the music of the Americana band from Brooklyn, N.Y., Yarn. The grammy-nominated band released a new album in March.
