Ghosts and goblins will be hitting the street for candy. Here's the trick-or-treating forecast, and a look at the rest of the week.

WASHINGTON, DC — Before you head out for a neighborhood candy crawl or spooky party, it's best to check the forecast.
The forecast Sunday night includes isolated showers and thunderstorms before 11 p.m. Overnight lows will fall just below 50 degrees, with winds picking up after midnight, according to the National Weather Service in Sterling.
Monday will be sunny, with a high in the low 60s, with wind around 10 mph. Monday night will be partly cloudy, as the wind calms in the evening.

As trick-or-treating begins Monday night, temperatures will be in the upper-50s, but falling. Most ghosts and goblins will be ringing doorbells in 53-degree weather, with the wind blowing at about 5 mph.

Here's a look at the rest of the week, according to the weather service:
Tuesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 62. Calm wind becoming south 5 to 7 mph in the morning.
Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 73.
Thursday: A chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 76. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
Friday: Sunny, with a high near 63.
Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 64.
