WASHINGTON, DC — Hillary Clinton delivered remarks at Georgetown University Friday morning for the 2017 Hillary Rodham Clinton Awards For Advancing Women in Peace and Security.

She spoke about the importance of women's rights and women's participation in politics across the globe.

"A rising tide of women’s rights lifts all nations," she declared.

Taking aim at the Trump administration, Clinton warned that the White House's proposed budget cuts to diplomacy and foreign aid could frustrate efforts to promote security at home and abroad. She also took not-so-subtle digs at President Trump's reputation for ignoring established facts.

"Studies show — here I go again, talking about research, evidence and facts," she said, to rapturous applause. "But in fact, when women are included in peace negotiation, agreements are less likely to fail and more likely to last."
