Woman and Dog Rescued from Georgetown Canal
The pair were found in the water Friday morning during freezing temperatures.

As temperatures hovered around the freezing mark, a woman and dog were pulled out of the C&O Canal in Georgetown.
Located at 31st and M Street NW, they were rescued from the water before 8:20 a.m. Friday, NBC Washington reports.
While it is unclear why they were in the water, neither party was seriously injured.
