Zoning Board Gives the Go Ahead for Georgetown Micro-Unit

The project expands the Latham Hotel to more businesses.

Georgetown will gain a retail ‘paradise’ that includes businesses and living spaces.

Developer of the space, SB-Urban gained the property for $45.4 million last November and the Board of Zoning Adjustment recently approved the project, according to Curbed DC.

The 10-story Latham Hotel located at 3000 M Street NW will be the base for the micro-unit project, Curbed DC reports. The retail pavilion will include an existing market shed as well as construction of 330-square-feet spaces for a possible fitness facility, library, game room, and more.

Included in the project are 140 furnished living units and an additional 11,000-square-feet of residential space will be constructed.

While the hotel’s 54 parking spaces will be renovated to become amenity space, 24 parking spaces will be available onsite and 42 spaces off-site, according to Curbed DC.
