Naked FL Man Robbed Meat Market Wearing Nothing But A Mask: Police
A FL man faces multiple charges after robbing a Lake City meat market while naked, police said.
LAKE CITY, FL — A man was arrested for robbing a Florida meat market while naked, other than wearing a mask, on Dec. 23, authorities said.
Officers responded to a robbery at BJ’s Meat Market, 837 NW Main Blvd., just before 9 p.m., Lake City police said in a news release.
Store employees told investigators that the suspect was nude, though he wore a covering over his face. There were no injuries.

With a description of the suspect and the direction he left the store, officers found discarded clothes items and other property that led them to Kove Watkins, 25, of Lake City, police said.
Watkins was arrested and charged with robbery with a weapon, exposure of sexual organs, grand theft and criminal mischief. After a medical evaluation, he was booked into the Columbia County Detention Center.

“Incidents like this are unsettling, but our officers responded quickly, secured the scene, and worked with our partners to identify and arrest the suspect,” Chief Gerald Butler said. “We appreciate the swift assistance from the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office and the cooperation from the business employees that helped bring this to a safe resolution.”
