18-Year-Old Gunned Down In LA Fitness Parking Lot
Police identified the victim as Omar Darwish but did not disclose a possible motive for the slaying.
AVENTURA, FL — An 18-year-old man was gunned down in the LA Fitness parking lot in Aventura on Friday. Aventura police identified the victim as Omar Darwish but did not disclose a possible motive. Darwish was pronounced dead at the scene by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel.
"Aventura Police investigators are looking for a vehicle of interest in this case, which is described as a white Mercedes hatchback," explained Sgt. Chris Goranitis of the Aventura Police Department.
The shooting occurred at 11:35 p.m. outside the LA Fitness at 3455 NE 207th St.

"This case is under active investigation," Goranitis added.
