DUI Sweeps Planned In Miami-Dade Over Holiday Weekend
SAFETY ALERT: DUI sweeps will be conducted in Miami-Dade County over the long Memorial Day weekend.

AVENTURA, FL — Miami-Dade police will be stopping cars over the long Memorial Day weekend in rolling DUI patrols. Patrols are planned on Saturday and Sunday from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. in northwest Miami-Dade.
Detective Robin Pinkard of the Miami-Dade Police Department told Patch that officers will focus on the area along US 1 between between NW 17 Avenue and Grand Avenue.

The special enforcement will be conducted by the Miami-Dade Police Department's Motorcycle Unit under a Florida Department of Transportation grant initiative.
"As part of a Florida "Department of Transportation grant initiative, the Miami-Dade Police Department will be conducting high visibility enforcement of impaired drivers in Miami-Dade County," Pinkard explained.
