Northwest Miami-Dade Home Damaged In Fire

MIAMI, FL — A smokey fire damaged a home in northwest Miami-Dade on Friday, according to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue. The one-alarm fire broke out shortly after noon near NW 82 Street and NW 1 Place.

"When units arrived, they saw smoke coming from the roof," explained a spokesperson for Miami-Dade Fire Rescue. "Crews immediately began working on putting out the fire, which started in the attic of the home."

First responders quickly brought the blaze under control.

"The heavy smoke from the fire caused significant damage to the home," the spokesperson added. "There were no reported injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation."
