Pedestrian Struck And Killed By Brightline Train
A pedestrian was struck and killed by a newly inaugurated Brightline train on Sunday afternoon, according to Delray Beach police.

DELRAY BEACH, FL ā A pedestrian was struck and killed by a newly inaugurated Brightline train on Sunday afternoon, according to Delray Beach police. The incident occurred around 12:47 p.m. Brightline recently inaugurated service between Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach and is planning to expand into Miami this year.
Delray Beach police said that the train was traveling toward West Palm Beach when it struck the man about 100 feet south of the Southeast 4th Street crossing.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
