Young Girl Reunited With South Florida Family
Police had asked for the public's help in identifying a young girl who was found Wednesday afternoon.

BOYNTON BEACH, FL — A three-year-old girl who was found wandering around a South Florida community was reunited with her family Wednesday afternoon. Police had asked for help in finding the child's parents when a Good Samaritan came across her in the 400 block of South Seacrest Boulevard.
"A Good Samaritan found her ... around 5:20 p.m. and brought her to the police department," according to Stephanie Slater of the Boynton Beach Police Department.
Slater said the girl's mother left the child with her father and went to the store but there was an apparent miscommunication between the two.

"The father thought the mother took the child to the store. The child wandered out of the home and was located by a Good Samaritan who brought her to the police department," Slater said.
"When the mother returned home and noticed the child missing, she tried calling police but couldn’t get through due to an issue with her phone," Slater said. "She then came to the police department and was reunited with her daughter."

"The 3-year-old girl is back home with her family," Slater said.
