Serial Bank Robber Strikes Aventura TD Branch

A lone bandit held up a TD Bank branch in Aventura on Wednesday and escaped with an unspecified amount of cash.

AVENTURA, FL — The FBI is searching for a serial bank robber who struck a TD Bank branch on Wednesday. The robbery took place around 12:53 p.m. The branch is located at 20495 Biscayne Blvd. The FBI told Patch that the same person is believed to be responsible for two earlier Hollywood bank jobs at the same Chase bank branch, including one on Tuesday.

"The robber entered the bank, displayed a weapon and demanded money from a bank employee. There were customers in the bank at the time of the robbery," according to Special Agent Michael Leverock and spokesman Jim Marshall of the FBI in Miami.

No one was injured.

The FBI released a photograph of the suspect taken from surveillance cameras. The FBI would not say how much money was taken during the robbery.

"Investigators believe this is the same robber who robbed a Chase Bank branch yesterday at 5545 Sheridan St, Hollywood," Leverock and Marshall said. The other Chase robbery occurred on Jan. 8
