93-Year-Old Wimauma Man Dies Following Crash On U.S. 301

The Wimauma man was driving south on U.S. 301 when he turned left onto Bill Tucker Road and was struck by a car driven by a 17-year-old.

WIMAUMA, FL — A 93-year-old Wimauma man has died following a crash at U.S. 301 and Bill Tucker Road in Wimauma Saturday.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 3:45 p.m., the Wimauma man was driving a pickup truck south on U.S. 301 when he turned left onto Bill Tucker Road and was struck by a car driven by a 17-year-old Brandon teen. The pickup truck overturned several times.

The Wimauma man was taken to the hospital where he later died.

The teen suffered serious injuries while his 19-year-old passenger received minor injuries.
