The Farm is an 11-acre horse farm, owned by country gospel musician Mike Holmes and his wife, Denise. In 2007, the Holmes became members of the Inspirational Country Music Association headquartered in Nashville. After spending a week in Nashville at the ICCMA convention, they decided to open their barn doors as a venue for musicians.
"We started off with five or 10 people getting together around a campfire, sharing a few songs and a hamburger, hot dog and a Coke," said Mike Holmes. "In less than four years, we have outgrown two barns and moved to a larger barn (8,000 square feet) on the same property. Sometimes the crowd reaches over 800 people the last Friday night of each month."
