Dead Man Crashes Car Into Parked Vehicle At Riverview Apartments

BLOOMINGDALE — RIVERVIEW, FL — A body was found in the driver seat of a vehicle that crashed into a parked car in a Riverview apartment complex parking lot Sunday night, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said.

A resident who lives in the 10000 block of Zackary Circle told police that at 11 p.m., they saw the male victim crash into their vehicle. The driver died of upper body trauma caused by gunshot wounds at the crash location, according to authorities.

Investigators said the man was shot in the parking lot of the apartment complex.

“While this does not appear to be a random act of violence, we are urging anyone who may have seen something related to this investigation to come forward,” Sheriff Chad Chronister said. “Sharing a tip is as simple as calling HCSO at 813-247-8200 or reporting anonymously through Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay."
