Dover Man Killed When Thrown Into I-4 Traffic: Troopers

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL — A 41-year-old man was killed Wednesday night on Interstate-4 after he was thrown into lanes following a crash, Florida Highway Patrol said.

According to investigators, before 7:09 p.m., a truck and a car drove westbound on Intersate-4 near milepost 12. When the truck changed lanes, the back of it hit the front of the car. The truck spun and flipped over, troopers said.

The driver of the truck was thrown from the vehicle after it crashed into the median guardrail, investigators said. The victim landed on the lanes of Intersate-4 and died, authorities said.

Due to Marsy's Law, the Florida Highway Patrol will not release the name of the victim.
