Gov. Rick Scott: No Syrian Refugees In Florida

Florida became one of many states to make the decision following the Friday attacks on Paris.

Florida Gov. Rick Scott announced Monday that Florida will not accept Syrian refugees following attacks in Paris that killed more than 100 Friday.

Scott, in a letter to House Speaker Paul Ryan and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, said that “our state agency will not support the requests we’ve received” for 425 possible refugees to enter the state.

One of the attackers who targeted the Paris soccer stadium was found with a Syrian passport, French officials said.
