Motorcyclist Killed in Boyette Road Crash
A 25-year-old man was killed in a Tuesday evening crash on Boyette Road.

RIVERVIEW, FL — A 25-year-old Ruskin man is dead following a Tuesday evening crash on Boyette Road.
According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, Brandon Douglas Collett was riding a Honda motorcycle east on Boyette Road around 6:50 p.m. Oct. 25. Deputies say Collett was traveling at an approximate 70 mph when he drove in between two vehicles on the approach to the intersection of Balm Riverview Road.
At that time, Alisha Rae Gaffney, 36, of Riverview was heading west on Boyette road in a 2017 Nissan Rogue. Gaffney, an email from the sheriff’s office said, was attempting to make a left turn to travel south.

Deputies say Gaffney pulled into the path of the motorcycle. The Honda struck the Nissan’s passenger side.
Collett, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown from the motorcycle, the email said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Gaffney agreed to a blood draw, the sheriff’s office said. Charges are pending the toxicology report.
