Same Armed Robber May Have Struck Riverview Store Twice
Hillsborough County deputies need help identifying a man accused of robbing a Riverview Speedway twice.
RIVERVIEW, FL — The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is on the hunt for a man deputies believe may be responsible for two recent armed robberies at a Riverview Speedway.
The first robbery at the 13179 U.S. 301 S. store occurred around 2:50 a.m. Jan. 9. That time, a man wearing sunglasses, a “biker style” mouth covering, an American Eagle gray hoodie and tan pants walked up to a clerk outside the store and ordered the employee back inside. The man was carrying a rifle or a shotgun, an email from the sheriff's office said.
Once in the doors, deputies say the man ordered the clerk to hand over cash from the registers. After getting money from the drawer, the man took off on foot.
