Bradenton Man Killed in State Road 70 Crash
The fatal accident on State Road 70 occurred early Thursday morning.

BRADENTON, FL — A 33-year-old Bradenton man is dead following a Thursday morning crash on State Road 70, east of Post Boulevard.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a semi driven by Yosbel Rodriguez Hernandez, 37, of Tampa was heading east on State Road 70 around 6 a.m. At that time, a Nissan pickup driven by the Bradenton man was heading west.
Troopers say the pickup crossed the double yellow center lines and went into the path of the oncoming semi. The front, left side of the pickup truck struck the semi's trailer.

After impact, the truck rotated before coming to a final stop, a highway patrol report said.
The pickup truck driver’s name has not yet been released. Troopers say he was taken to Lakewood Ranch Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Rodriguez Hernandez was not injured.
No charges were filed.
