Update: Bradenton Police, Government Phones Back Online

Breaking: The city of Bradenton was experiencing problems with incoming calls.

BRADENTON, FL — Update: The city of Bradenton reported at 9 a.m. that its phone lines were back up and running after an outage Wednesday morning.

Earlier: Bradenton residents trying to reach government offices or the city’s police department on its non-emergency lines may run into trouble on Wednesday morning.

“Due to a national outage by Windstream, which is extended throughout the Eastern Seaboard, the Bradenton Police Department is currently unable to accept incoming, non-emergency calls to those dedicated lines,” Chief Melanie Bevan reported in an email to media. The 911 system is still operational, she said.
