Bradenton Road Closings Announced

Breaking: One Bradenton road has closed for emergency repairs while another is scheduled to close Friday.

BRADENTON, FL — Motorists who travel through Bradenton might want to take note of a few announced road closings.

According to the city of Bradenton, 8th Avenue East from 19th Street Court to 20th Street closed Thursday for emergency repairs on a 24-inch sewer line. The closing will remain in place until further notice. As of late Thursday morning, however, the city anticipated the closing would last at least through the night.

On Friday, Sept. 16, motorists will also find the 7th Avenue West bridge across Wares Creek closed to traffic. That closing begins at 9 a.m. and is expected to end by 4 p.m. The closing is prompted by the need to make repairs to a lift station, the city said.
