​Manatee County Announces 2016 Holiday Schedule

From Manatee County Government: Below is a listing of upcoming holiday closures across Manatee County Government.

Christmas

• County offices are closed Fri., Dec. 23 and Mon., Dec. 26.
• Garbage, yard waste and recycling are suspended on Christmas Day. Collection services are postponed one day for the remainder of the week and resume regular collection schedule the following Monday.
• Fixed route and Handy Bus services will stop running at 3 p.m. on Christmas Eve. The Longboat Key Trolley and the Anna Maria Trolley will stop running at 7 p.m. on Christmas Eve. On Christmas Day there will be no fixed route, Handy Bus, or Longboat Key Trolley service. The Anna Maria Trolley and beach express will run regular service on Christmas Day.
• Libraries will close Dec. 23 – Dec. 26.
• G.T. Bray will be closed Dec. 24 – 25.

• County offices will be closed Monday, Jan. 2, 2017.
• Garbage, yard waste and recycling are suspended on New Year’s Day. Collection services are postponed one day for the remainder of the week and resume regular collection schedule the following Monday.
• On New Year's Eve all MCAT buses and trolleys will run regular service and the Anna Maria Trolley will run extended hours until 1 a.m. On New Year's Day there will be no fixed route, Handy Bus, para transit or Longboat Key Trolley service, but the Anna Maria Trolley and beach express will run regular service.
• Libraries will be closed on Monday, Jan. 2
• G.T. Bray will be closed on Sunday, Jan. 1.
